NATIONAL MONUMENTS ACTS, 1930 TO 1994 (APPROVAL OF CONSENT) (NO. 1) ORDER, 1995.

I, MICHAEL D. HIGGINS, T.D., Minister for Arts, Culture and the Gaeltacht, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14 (3B) (inserted by section 15 of the National Monuments (Amendment) Act, 1994 (No. 17 of 1994)) of the National Monuments Act, 1930 (No. 2 of 1930), hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the National Monuments Acts, 1930 to 1994 (Approval of Consent) (No. 1) Order, 1995.

2. In this Order—

"the Commissioners" means the Commissioners for Public Works in Ireland;

"the Preservation Order" means the National Monuments (Preservation) Order (No. 3 of 1994) made by the Commissioners in respect of a National Monument known as the Monastic Enclosure in the Townland of Commons, parish of Feenagh, County of Leitrim (being the area delineated in red on the map set out in the Schedule to this Order).

3. There is hereby granted an approval in respect of the giving of consent by the Commissioners to the Council of the County of Leitrim to permit future interments, within the area of the Preservation Order, in the graveyard shaded in yellow on the map set out in the Schedule to this Order in respect of persons whom at the time of the making of the Preservation Order held burial rights in the area of the said graveyard.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order grants an approval to the Commissioners of Public Works for the giving of consent to Leitrim County Council to permit interments of certain persons in a graveyard in County Leitrim situated in an area which is subject to a Preservation Order made by the Commissioners.
