LICENSED SALMON, EEL AND MOLLUSCAN SHELLFISH DEALERS' REGISTER REGULATIONS, 1994.

I, HUGH COVENEY, Minister for the Marine, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 and Part X (as inserted by section 20 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1994 (No. 23 of 1994)) of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister Order, 1987 ( S.I. No. 82 of 1987 )) hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Licensed Salmon, Eel and Molluscan Shellfish Dealers' Register Regulations, 1994.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1995.

2. (1) The register (required by section 163 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959) as amended by section 15 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1962 (No. 31 of 1962), section 6 of the Fisheries Act, 1980 (No. 1 of 1980 ) and section 20 of the Fisheries (Amendment) Act, 1994 (No. 23 of 1994)) to be kept by the holder of a salmon dealer's licence, an eel dealer's licence, or a molluscan shellfish dealer's licence, or any combination of the aforesaid licences, shall be in the form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations and the particulars to be entered therein shall be those specified in the said Schedule.

(2) Where the registered referred to in paragraph (1) of these Regulations is in the form of a book, the name and address required to be specified at (a) and (b) in the Schedule to these Regulations may, in lieu of being shown in the manner indicated in the said Schedule, be shown on the inside front cover of the book.

3. The Licensed Salmon Dealer's Register Regulations, 1982 ( S.I. No. 163 of 1982 ) are hereby revoked.

Register of Purchases, Receipts, Sales, Exportations, Disposals and Removals of Salmon (including sea trout). Trout (including rainbow trout) Eels or Molluscan Shellfish under Section 163 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 as amended.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations prescribe the form of the register to be kept by licensed salmon, eel and molluscan shellfish dealers. They also revoke the Licensed Salmon Dealer's Register Regulations, 1982.
