ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY ACT, 1992 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 2) ORDER, 1994.

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for the Environment by section 2 of the Environment Protection Agency Act, 1992 (No. 7 of 1992), which said powers are delegated to me by the Environment (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993 ( S.I. No. 127 of 1993 ), I, JOHN BROWNE, Minister of State at the Department of the Environment, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1992 (Commencement) (No. 2) Order, 1994.

2. Section 18 (1) of, and the Third Schedule to, the Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1992 , shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1994.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation, with effect from 1 July, 1994, both Section 18 (1) of the Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1992 , which repeals Section 51 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 , and the Third Schedule to the 1992 Act, which provides for amendment of the Air Pollution Act, 1987 .
