EMPLOYMENT AGENCY REGULATIONS, 1993.

I, RUAIRÍ QUINN, Minister for Enterprise and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 1 and 8 of the Employment Agency Act, 1971 (No. 27 of 1971) and the Labour (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993 (S.I. 18 of 1993), hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Employment Agency Regulations, 1993.

2. In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" means the Employment Agency Regulations, 1972 ( S.I. No. 255 of 1972 ).

3. The Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the Employment Agency Regulations, 1972 to 1993.

4. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of March, 1993.

5. Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the substitution of £400 for £200 (inserted by the Employment Agency Regulations, 1988) in paragraph (b), and that Regulation as so amended is set out in the Table to this Regulation.

5. Every application for a licence under section 3 of the Act shall—

( a ) be in the form contained in Schedule 2 of these Regulations;

( b ) be accompanied by a fee of £400, and

( c ) contain the particulars indicated in the form contained in that Schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Regulation is to increase the fee for an employment agency licence to £400.
