9.—The provisions of Part IV of the Act of 1970 (as amended by this Act) relating to a person being ordinarily resident in the State are without prejudice to the due application of the provisions of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 1408/71 of 14 June 1971(1)
(as replaced by the text in Annex I to Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2001/83 of 2 June 1983 (2)
) and of any provision made before, on or after the passing of this Act which amends, extends, replaces or consolidates (with or without modification) Council Regulation 1408/71.
