COMPANIES ACT, 1990 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1990.

I, DESMOND O'MALLEY, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 2 of the Companies Act, 1990 (No. 33 of 1990), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Companies Act, 1990 (Commencement) Order, 1990.

2. The 27th day of December, 1990 is hereby appointed as the date on which the provisions of the Companies Act, 1990 listed in column 2 of the Table to this Order shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints the 27th day of December, 1990 as the day on which Part V, and certain provisions of Parts I, IX and XII of the Companies Act, 1990 shall come into operation.
