LONGFORD COUNTY COUNCIL (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1990.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 33 (7) of the Local Government Act, 1941 (No. 23 of 1941), hereby orders as follows:—

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Longford County Council (Amendment) Order, 1990.

(2) This Order and the Longford County Council Order, 1942 may be cited collectively as the Longford County Council Orders, 1942 and 1990.

2. The Longford County Council (Amendment) Order, 1974 ( S.I. No. 22 of 1974 ), the Longford County Council (Amendment) (No. 2) Order, 1974 ( S.I. No. 50 of 1974 ) and Article 7 of the County Electoral Areas (Amendment) Order, 1985 ( S.I. No. 109 of 1985 ) are hereby revoked.

3. (1) The County of Longford shall be divided into the county electoral areas named in the first column of the Schedule to this Order.

(2) Each such county electoral area shall consist of the areas set forth in the second column of the Schedule to this Order opposite the name of such county electoral area.

(3) The number of members of the Council of the County of Longford to be elected for each such county electoral area shall be the number set forth in the third column of the Schedule to this Order opposite the name of such county electoral area.

4. Every reference in the Schedule to this Order to a district electoral division or urban district shall be construed as referring to such district electoral division or urban district as existing at the date of this Order.

Drumlish	The District Electoral Divisions of:—	3
	Ballinamuck East, Ballinamuck West, Breanrisk, Columbkille, Drumgort, Drumlish, Killor, Moyne
Granard	The District Electoral Divisions of:—	3
	Abbeylara, Bunlahy, Coolamber, Creevy, Dalystown, Firry, Gelshagh, Granard Rural, Granard Urban, Milltown, Mullanalaghta, Newgrove, Sonnagh.
Longford	The District Electoral Divisions of:—	6
	Caldragh, Cloondara, Longford Rural, Newtown Forbes;
	and the Urban District of Longford.
