EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (CUSTOMS) (REVOCATION OF STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS) REGULATIONS, 1989.

I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), and, consequential on the adoption of Council Regulation (EEC) No. 2473/86 of 24th July 19861, Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 2458/87 of 31st July, 19872,and Article 9a (inserted by Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 1981/88 of 5th July, 19883) of Commission Regulation (EEC) No. 296/86 of 10th February, 19864, for the purpose of revoking certain regulations made under the said section 3, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Customs) (Revocation of Statutory Instruments) Regulations, 1989.

2. The following Regulations are hereby revoked—

(a) the European Communities (Customs) Regulations, 1977 ( S.I. No. 216 of 1977 );

(b) the European Communities (Customs) Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 188 of 1979 );

(c) the European Communities (Customs) Regulations, 1982 ( S.I. No. 161 of 1982 ).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations revoke three Statutory Instruments which gave national effect to EEC Directives governing outward processing and standard exchange arrangements for relief of import duties, which have since been repealed and replaced by EEC Regulations.
