EXPLANATORY NOTE.

An Foras Aiseanna Saothair (The Training and Employment Authority) was established under the Labour Services Act, 1987 as successor to An Chomhairle Oiliuna (The Industrial Training Authority).

The Industrial Training (Construction Committee) Order, 1969 made by An Chomhairle Oiliuna established an Industrial Training Committee, to be known as the Construction Industry Training Committee, to advise and assist An Chomhairle Oiliuna, as respects the performance of its functions. All such functions have now been transferred to An Foras Aiseanna Saothair under the above mentioned Act.

This Order amends the Industrial Training (Construction Committee) Order, 1969 by decreasing the number of ordinary committee members to eighteen and decreasing the quorum for a meeting of the Committee to eight.
