MINERALS DEVELOPMENT (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1989.

I, MICHAEL SMITH, T.D., Minister for Energy, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 80 of the Minerals Development Act, 1940 (No. 31 of 1940), and the Energy (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1980 ( S.I. No. 9 of 1980 ) (as adapted by the Industry and Energy (Alteration of name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1983 ( S.I. No. 385 of 1983 )), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Minerals Development (Amendment) Regulations, 1989, and shall come into operation on the 10th day of April, 1989.

2. The Minerals Development Regulations, 1979 ( S.I. No. 340 of 1979 ), are hereby amended:—

( a ) by the substitution in Regulation 3 (1) (b) for "£10.00" of "£50.00", and

( b ) by the substitution in Form No. 1 in the First Schedule for "£10.00" of "£50.00".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Regulation, which comes into operation on the 10th day of April, 1989 increases the application fee for a prospecting licence to £50.00.
