BANKRUPTCY ACT, 1988 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1988.

I, GERARD COLLINS, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Bankruptcy Act, 1988 (No. 27 of 1988), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Bankruptcy Act, 1988 (Commencement) Order, 1988.

2. The 1st day of January, 1989, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Bankruptcy Act, 1988 , shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order brings the Bankruptcy Act 1988 into operation on 1 January 1989.
