INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ACT, 1986 (DESIGNATED AREAS) ORDER, 1988.

I, RAY BURKE, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in excise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Industrial Development Act, 1986 (No. 9 of 1986), with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Industrial Development Act, 1986 (Designated Areas) Order, 1988.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1989.

3. (1) The areas specified in paragraph (2) of this Article are hereby declared to be designated areas for the period of three years beginning on the commencement of this Order.

(2) The areas referred to in paragraph (1) of this Article are—

(a) counties Louth, Offaly, Wexford and Wicklow, and

(b) the Mayfield Industrial Estate, situated in the townland of Lotabeg in the county borough of Cork, being the area enclosed within the inner margin of the heavy black line on the map annexed hereto.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to designate.

(a) counties Louth, Offaly, Wexford and Wicklow,

(b) part of the Mayfield Industrial Estate in the county borough of Cork.

for higher industrial grants under the Industrial Development Act, 1986 for a period of 3 years commencing on the 1st day of January, 1989.
