EMPLOYMENT AGENCY REGULATIONS, 1988. | ||
I, BERTIE AHERN, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 1 and 8 of the Employment Agency Act, 1971 (No. 27 of 1971), hereby make the following Regulations: 1. The Regulations may be cited as the Employment Agency Regulations, 1988. 2. In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" means the Employment Agency Regulations, 1972 ( S.I. No. 255 of 1972 ). 3. The Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the Employment Agency Regulations, 1972-1988. 4. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st January, 1989. 5. Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is hereby amended by the substitution of "£200" for "£100" in paragraph (b), and that Regulation as so amended is set out in the Table to this Regulation (Inserted by the Employment Agency Regulations, 1976). | ||

5. Every application for a licence under section 3 of the Act shall— | ||
(a) be in the form contained in Schedule 2 of these Regulations; | ||
(b) be accompanied by a fee of £200, and | ||
(c) contain the particulars indicated in the form contained in that Schedule. | ||

The purpose of this Regulation is to increase the fee for an employment agency licence to £200. |
