ROAD TRAFFIC (BOLLARDS AND RAMPS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1988.

The Minister for the Environment in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 101A (inserted by section 9 of the Dublin Transport Authority (Dissolution Act, 1987 (No. 34 of 1987)) of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Bollards and Ramps) (Amendment) Regulations, 1988.

2. The Road Traffic (Bollards and Ramps) Regulations, 1988 ( S.I. No. 32 of 1988 ) are hereby amended by—

(a) the deletion of the matter at reference 2 (g) of the Second Schedule and

(b) the substitution of the following for the matter at reference 3 of the Second Schedule.

"A ramp shall not be provided unless it is within 5 metres of a street light".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the Road Traffic (Bollards and Ramps) Regulations, 1988 by deleting the prohibition on the provision of ramps within 200 metres of a "Stop" sign and in addition provides for a minor amendment to the provision regarding the positioning of ramps in relation to street lighting.
