CORK (COUNTY BOROUGH AND COUNTY) TRAFFIC AND PARKING (AMENDMENT) BYE-LAWS, 1988.

I, EDWARD J. DOHERTY, Commissioner of the Garda Siochana, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 90 of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961) (as adapted by the Local Government (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 269 of 1977 )), with the consent of the Minister for the Environment, and after consultation with the Lord Mayor, Alderman and Burgesses of Cork, the council of the county of Cork, the councils of the urban districts of Clonakilty, Cobh, Fermoy, Kinsale, Macroom, Mallow, Midleton, Skibbereen and Youghal and the commissioners of the towns of Bandon, Bantry and Passage West, hereby make the following bye-laws in respect of the area comprising the county borough of Cork, and the administrative county of Cork, including the urban districts of Clonakilty, Cobh, Fermoy, Kinsale, Macroom, Mallow, Midleton, Skibbereen and Youghal and the towns of Bandon, Bantry and Passage West:

1. These bye-laws may be cited as the Cork (County Borough and County) Traffic and Parking (Amendment) Bye-Laws 1988.

2. The Cork (County Borough and County) Traffic and Parking Bye-Laws, 1986 ( S.I. No. 180 of 1986 ), are hereby amended by the substitution for paragraph (2) of Bye-Law 37 of the following paragraph:

"(2) The fee for a resident's parking disc shall be £1".

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These bye-laws amend bye-law 37 of the Cork (County Borough and County) Traffic and Parking Bye-Laws 1986 ( S.I. No. 180 of 1986 ) in providing for a reduction in the fee for a resident's parking disc from £35 to £1.
