URBAN RENEWAL (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1987 (EXTENSION OF CUSTOM HOUSE DOCKS AREA) ORDER, 1987.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the Urban Renewal (Amendment) Act, 1987 (No. 16 of 1987), hereby orders as follows—

1. This Order may be cited as the Urban Renewal (Amendment) Act, 1987 (Extension of Custom House Docks Area) Order, 1987.

2. In this Order "the Custom House Docks Area" has the meaning assigned to it by section 3 of the Urban Renewal Act, 1986 (No. 19 of 1986).

3. The Customs House Docks Area is hereby extended to include the land described in Part II of the Schedule to this Order.

4. This Order shall come into operation on 1st day of August, 1987.

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

In this Schedule:—

( a ) a reference to a line drawn along any street, road, river or bridge or the projection of any street or road shall be construed as a line drawn along the centre of such street, road, river or bridge or the projection of a line drawn along the centre of such street or road, as the case may be, and

( b ) a reference to the point at which any bridge or projection is said to intersect any street, road or river shall be construed as a reference to the point at which a line drawn along the centre of such bridge or, in the case of a projection, along the projection, would intersect a line drawn along the centre of the street, road or river, as the case may be.

PART II.

Description of land.

That part of the County Borough of Dublin bounded by a line drawn as follows:—

Commencing at the point (hereafter in this description referred to as "the first-mentioned point") where the westerly projection of the northern boundary of Custom House Quay would intersect Memorial Road, then continuing in a southerly direction along Memorial Road and its southerly projection and Talbot Memorial Bridge to the point where it intersects the River Liffey, then continuing in an easterly direction along the River Liffey to the point where it would be intersected by the southerly projection of Commons Street, then continuing in Northerly direction along that projection and Commons Street to the point where it would be intersected by the easterly projection of the northern boundary of Custom House Quay, then continuing in a westerly direction along that projection and that boundary and the westerly projection of that boundary to the first-mentioned point.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order extends the Custom House Docks Area in a southerly direction to the centre of the River Liffey.
