COMPANIES (FEES) ORDER, 1987.

I, ALBERT REYNOLDS, Minister for Industry and Commerce in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 103 , 112 and 395 of the Companies Act, 1963 , (No. 33 of 1963), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Companies (Fees) Order, 1987.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of April, 1987.

3. The Eighth Schedule to the Companies Act, 1963 (No. 33 of 1963), is hereby altered by the substitution for the matter (inserted by the Companies (Fees) Order, 1983 ( S.I. No. 259 of 1983 )), contained in the first and second columns of Part I of that Schedule of the following:

For making a record of any fact by this Act required or authorised to be recorded by the Registrar, other than in connection with the change of company name.

4. Where the Minister directs, pursuant to section 23 (2) of the Companies Act, 1963 , that a company shall change its name, any fee required to be paid in respect of the registration of the alteration of the name of the company shall not be charged, levied or paid.

5. The Companies (Fees) Order, 1964 ( S.I. No. 44 of 1964 ), is hereby amended by the substitution for Article 3 (inserted by the Companies (Fees) Order, 1983), of the following article:

"3. The following fees are hereby prescribed for the purposes of sections 103 and 112 of the Act:

For registering a charge required to be registered under Part IV (excluding Section 112) of the Act

£10.00

For registering particulars of a series of debentures under Part IV of the Act

£10.00

For registering particulars of charges under Section 112 of the Act

£10.00

For inspecting the register of charges for each inspection

£1.00

6. The Companies (Fees) Order, 1983 is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The purpose of this Order is to increase the fees to be paid in connection with certain provisions of the Companies Act 1963 .
