Power of Commissioners and local authorities to make bye-laws.

9.—(1) The Commissioners with the approval of the Minister, or a local authority with the approval of the Commissioners, as the case may be, may, for the purposes of their functions under this Act, make bye-laws in relation to any national monument of which they are the owners or the guardians.

(2) A person who contravenes a bye-law under this section shall be guilty of an offence.

(3) Copies of a bye-law under this section shall be displayed at, or in the vicinity of, any national monument to which it relates in such manner and place as, in the opinion of the Commissioners or the local authority concerned, as the case may be, are best calculated to bring the bye-law to the attention of those at or in the vicinity of the monument.
