TRAVEL AGENTS (LICENSING) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1986.

I, JIM MITCHELL, Minister for Communications, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 7 , 12 and 25 of the Transport (Tour Operators and Travel Agents) Act, 1982 (No. 3 of 1982), and the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1983 (No. 40 of 1983), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following Regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Travel Agents (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1986.

(2) The Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1983 and 1985, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1983 to 1986.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 20th day of June, 1986.

3. The Travel Agents (Licensing) Regulations, 1983 ( S.I. No. 101 of 1983 ), as amended by the Travel Agents (Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations, 1985 ( S.I. No. 166 of 1985 ), are hereby amended by—

( a ) the substitution in Regulation 9 (a) for "£125" of "£137.50", and

( b ) the substitution in Regulation 9 (b) for "£12.50" of "£13.75".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

These Regulations provide for an increase in the fees payable in respect of applications for travel agents' licences and for the amendment of such licences.
