SOCIAL WELFARE (NO. 2) ACT, 1985 (SECTION 6) (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1986.

The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 24 of the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1985 (No. 14 of 1985), hereby orders as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1985 (Section 6) (Commencement) Order, 1986.

2. Section 6 of the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1985 (No. 14 of 1985) shall come into operation on the 15th day of May, 1986.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order brings into operation on 15th May 1986 section 6 of the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1985 , which extends entitlement to unemployment benefit to married women from 312 days at present to the full period of 390 days.
