FOOD HYGIENE REGULATIONS, ORDER, 1986.

In exercise of the powers conferred on the Minister for Health by the Food Hygiene Regulations, 1950 ( S.I. No. 205 of 1950 ), which said powers are delegated to me by the Health (Delegation of functions) Order, 1984 ( S.I. No. 4 of 1984 ) I, John F. Donnellan, Minister of State at the Department of Health, hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Food Hygiene Regulations, Order, 1986.

2. In this Order

"take-away food premises" means a food premises where food is prepared, cooked or heated for sale directly to the public for consumption off the premises.

3. Part IV of the Regulations shall come into operation throughout the State on the 1st day of February, 1986 as respects take-away food premises.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to extend the registrable category of food premises to premises in which food is prepared, cooked or heated for sale to the public for consumption other than on the premises.
