BOVINE DISEASES (LEVIES) REGULATIONS, 1985.

I, AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 2 (2) and 19 (1) of the Bovine Diseases (Levies)Act, 1979 (No. 26 of 1979), hereby make the following regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1985.

2. The following paragraph is hereby substituted for paragraph (2) of Regulation 1 of the Bovine Diseases (Levies) Regulations, 1984 ( S.I. No. 272 of 1984 ):

"(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 5th day of November, 1984, and shall expire on the 31st day of December, 1986."

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations which come into effect from 1 January, 1986 provide for continuation of the current rates of levy on milk for processing and on bovine animals slaughtered or exported live.
