CASTLETOWNBERE FISHERY HARBOUR CENTRE (FISH AUCTION CHARGES) ORDER, 1985.

I, PADDY O'TOOLE, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 of the Fishery Harbour Centres Act, 1968 (No. 18 of 1968), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1977 ( S.I. No. 30 of 1977 ) (as adapted by the Fisheries (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1978 ( S.I. No. 195 of 1978 )) hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre (Fish Auction Charges) Order, 1985.

2. This Order shall come into operation on the 18th day of March, 1985.

3. (1) There shall be paid to the Minister by any person carrying on auctions of fish at the hall provided by the Minister at the fishery harbour centre known as Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre a charge of £50 in respect of each period of 12 months in which he carries on such auctions.

2. The charge referred to in paragraph (1) of this Article may be recovered by the Minister from a person who is required by that paragraph to pay it to the Minister as a simple contract debt in any court of competent jurisdication.

4. The Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre (Fish Auction Charges) Order, 1974 ( S.I. No. 95 of 1974 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order fixes the annual fee payable to the Minister by persons carrying on auctions of fish at the auction hall at Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre.

The Order abolishes the tolls which were hitherto payable to the Minister by persons selling fish in the auction hall at Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre.
