DISTRICT COURT AREAS (VARIATION OF DAYS AND HOURS) (No. 3) ORDER, 1984.

I, MICHAEL J. NOONAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 26 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1953 (No. 32 of 1953), and after consultation with the President of the District Court, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the District Court Areas (Variation of Days and Hours) (No. 3) Order, 1984.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of September, 1984.

2. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the District Court (Areas) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 5 of 1961 ).

3. The First Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by—

(a) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 153 of "First Wednesday in each month at 10.30 a.m. (Children's Court) and first Wednesday in each month at 2.30 p.m., third Wednesday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m., each Thursday at 10.30 a.m., 12 noon and 2.30 p.m., second Tuesday in February, April, June, October and December at 10.30 a.m., and the fourth Tuesday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.," for "Each Friday at 10.30 a.m., first Saturday in each month at 10.30 a.m. (Children's Court) and third Wednesday in each month at 10.30 a.m." (inserted by the District Court Areas (Variation of Days and Hours) (No. 2) Order, 1969 ( S.I. No. 31 of 1969 )),

(b) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 156 of "Fourth Friday in each month at 11 a.m." for "Fourth Tuesday in each month at 11 a.m." (inserted by the District Court Areas (Variation of Days) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 226 of 1967 )),

(c) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 227 of "Second Tuesday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 11 a.m." for "Second Tuesday in each month at 11 a.m.",

(d) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 233 of "First Friday in each month and third Friday in February, April, June, October and December at 10.30 a.m." for "First and third Thursday in each month at 11 a.m.",

(e) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 234 of "Fourth Friday in each month at 2.30 p.m." for "Third Tuesday in each month at 11 a.m." (inserted by the District Court Areas (Variation of Days) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 226 of 1967 )), and

(f) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 238 of "Second Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and third Friday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 10.30 a.m. "for "First Wednesday in each month at 11 a.m. (Juvenile Court) at 10.30 a.m.".

4. The Second Schedule to the Principal Order is hereby amended by—

(a) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 136 of "First and third Tuesday in each month at 10.30 a.m." for "First and third Monday in each month at 10.30 a.m.",

(b) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 195 of "Second Tuesday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 11 a.m." for "Second Tuesday in each month at 11 a.m.",

(c) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 201 of "First Friday in each month and third Friday in February, April, June, October and December at 10.30 a.m." for "First and third Thursday at 10.30 a.m.", and

(d) the substitution in column (4) at reference number 204 of "Second Friday in each month at 10.30 a.m. and third Friday in January, March, May, July, September and November at 10.30 a.m. "for "First Wednesday in each month at 11 a.m.".

5. Business transacted in the District Court which is initiated and not completed before the commencement of this Order shall be continued and completed as if this Order had been in force at the time at which such business had been initiated.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order provides for a variation in the present arrangements for the holding of sittings of the District Court in the District Court Areas of Limerick City, Thurles, Nenagh, Cappawhite, Newport and Cappamore in District No. 14.
