PARASITIC MANGE ORDER, 1984.

I, AUSTIN DEASY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 10 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Parasitic Mange Order, 1984.

(2) The Animals (Notification of Disease) (Ireland) Order of 1919, (No. 476), in so far as it applies to parasitic mange, the Parasitic Mange (Ireland) Order of 1919, (No. 480), the Parasitic Mange (Cattle) Order, of 1927, (S.R. and O., No. 48), and this Order may be cited together as the Parasitic Mange Orders, 1919 to 1984.

2. (1) Article 2 (1) of the Animals (Notification of Disease) (Ireland) Order of 1919 shall, in so far as it requires notices as regards parasitic mange in horses, asses, or mules, or the carcases of any such animals, to be given shall cease to have effect.

(2) Article 1 (1) of the Parasitic Mange (Ireland) Order of 1919, as extended by Article 2 (1) of the Parasitic Mange (Cattle) Order of 1927, shall, in so far as it requires a person to give notice of the existence or suspected existence of parasitic mange in a horse, ass or mule, cease to have effect.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is that parasitic mange in horses, asses and mules is no longer a notifiable disease for the purposes of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 .
