Director of Board.

20.—(1) There shall be a chief officer of the Board who shall be called the Director of the Board and is in this Act referred to as “the Director”.

(2) The Director shall be appointed by the Board and shall hold office for such period and upon such terms and conditions (other than terms and conditions relating to remuneration and allowances for expenses) as the Board may, with the approval of the Minister given with the consent of the Minister for the Public Service, determine from time to time.

(3) The terms and conditions relating to the remuneration and allowances for expenses of the Director shall be such as may be determined from time to time by the Minister with the consent of the Minister for the Public Service.

(4) The Director shall perform such functions as the Board may determine from time to time.

(5) The Director shall not be a member of the Board.
