HALLMARKING ACT, 1981 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1983.

I, FRANK CLUSKEY, Minister for Trade, Commerce and Tourism, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 18 of the Hallmarking Act, 1981 (No. 18 of 1981), and the Industry, Commerce and Tourism (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1981 ( S.I. No. 290 of 1981 ), hereby make the following Order—

1. This Order may be cited as the Hallmarking Act, 1981 (Commencement) Order, 1983.

2. The 8th day of November, 1983, is hereby appointed as the day on which the Hallmarking Act, 1981 (No. 18 of 1981), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Order appoints 8 November, 1983 as the day on which the Hallmarking Act, 1981 shall come into operation.
