NATIONAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY ACT, 1982 (ESTABLISHMENT DAY) ORDER, 1982.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 2 of the National Community Development Agency Act, 1982 . (No. 20 of 1982 hereby orders and appoints as follows—

1. This Order may be cited as the National Community Development Agency Act, 1982 (Establishment Day) Order, 1982.

2. The 8th day of December 1982 shall be the establishment day for the purpose of the National Community Development Agency Act, 1982 .

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The effect of the Order is to establish under the National Community Development Agency Act, 1982 , a body to be known as the National Community Development Agency which will advise the Minister for Health on national policy relating to community development, self-help, poverty and social deprivation and support voluntary action by the community in relation to those matters and promote greater public understanding of them.
