PETROLEUM OILS (CONTROL OF THE ACQUISITION, SUPPLY, DISTRIBUTION OR MARKETING) (CONTINUANCE) ORDER, 1982.

WHEREAS, there is for the time being in force an Order under section 2 (1) of the Fuels (Control of Supplies) Act, 1971 (No. 3 of 1971) (inserted by the Fuels (Control of Supplies) Act, 1982 (No. 18 of 1982), declaring that the Government are of the opinion that the exigencies of the common good necessitate the control by the Minister for Industry and Energy on behalf of the State of the acquisition, supply, distribution or marketing of petroleum oils:

AND WHEREAS the Government are of the opinion that the exigencies of the common good still necessitate the control by that Minister on behalf of the State of the acquisition, supply, distribution or marketing of petroleum oils:

NOW, the Government, in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 2 (4) of the Fuels (Control of Supplies) Act, 1971 (No. 3 of 1971) (inserted by the Fuels (Control of Supplies) Act, 1982 (No. 18 of 1982), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Petroleum Oils (Control of the Acquisition, Supply, Distribution or Marketing) (Continuance) Order, 1982.

2. The Petroleum Oils (Control of Supply and Distribution) Order, 1979 ( S.I. No. 140 of 1979 .), shall continue in force for the period ending on 31st day of December, 1982.
