Purchase of additional shares of British & Irish Steam Packet Company Limited by Minister for Finance. |
1.— Section 2 of the British & Irish Steam Packet Company Limited (Acquisition) (Amendment) Act, 1971 , is hereby amended by the substitution of “fifty-eight million ordinary shares” for “thirty-three million ordinary shares” (inserted by the British & Irish Steam Packet Company Limited (Acquisition) (Amendment) Act, 1979 ), and the said section 2, as so amended, is set out in the Table to this section. | |

The Minister for Finance may purchase, in addition to the ordinary shares of the Company purchased by him under the agreement approved of by section 2 of the Principal Act, not more than fifty-eight million ordinary shares of the Company of £1 each. |
