S.I. No. 263/1981 - Savings Certificates (Tenth Issue) (Amendment) Rules, 1981.


I, JOHN BRUTON, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 30 (2) of the Finance Act, 1940 (No. 14 of 1940), hereby make the following rules:

1. These Rules may be cited as the Savings Certificates (Tenth Issue) (Amendment) Rules, 1981.

2. These Rules shall come into operation on the 4th day of August, 1981.

3. Rule 5 of the Savings Certificates (Tenth Issue) Rules, 1981 ( S.I. No. 52 of 1981 ), shall have effect as if “£25,000” were substituted for “£15,000”.

The purpose of these Rules is to increase the maximum holding of the tenth issue of savings certificates from £15,000 to £25,000 from 4th August, 1981.
