DISABLED PERSONS (MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1981. | ||
The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and by sections 69 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970), hereby makes the following Regulations— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations, 1981. 2. Article 4 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) Regulations 1973 ( S.I. No. 160 of 1973 ) is hereby amended by the substitution for sub-article (4) (as substituted by article 2 of the Disabled Persons (Maintenance Allowances) (Amendment) Regulations 1980 ( S.I. No. 92 of 1980 ) ) of the following sub-article:— | ||
"(4) A maintenance allowance payable in accordance with this article shall with effect from the 1st April 1981 be at a rate not exceeding £25.30 pence per week." | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. | ||
The effect of these Regulations is to increase, as from the 1st April, 1981, the maximum weekly rate of maintenance allowance payable under Section 69 of the Health Act, 1970 , to twenty five pounds and thirty pence. |
