GREYHOUND RACE TRACK (LEVY) (PERCENTAGE) REGULATIONS, 1980.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 32 of the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 (No. 12 of 1958) and the Agriculture (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) (No. 2) Order, 1980 (S.I. No. 80 of 1980), Bord na gCon with the consent of Lorcan Alien, Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, hereby make the following regulations;—

(1) These regulations may be cited as the Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1980.

(2) These regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1980.

(3) The levy payable for the time being on a course bet shall be calculated at the rate of seven and one half per cent of such course bet.

(4) The Greyhound Race Track (Levy) (Percentage) Regulations, 1977 ( S.I. No. 91 of 1977 ), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of these regulations is to fix the rate of levy payable to Bord na gCon on course bets at greyhound race tracks at 7½%.
