WORKER PARTICIPATION (STATE ENTERPRISES) ORDER, 1980.

I, GENE FITZGERALD, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 23 and 28 of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 (No. 6 of 1977), and after consultation with the Minister for Finance and the other Ministers of the Government who are appropriate, hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Order, 1980.

2. The number of directors of Aer Lingus shall be twelve, and the appropriate number of those directors shall be four.

3. The number of members of Coras Iompair Éireann shall be twelve, and the appropriate number of those members shall be four.

4. For the purpose of giving effect to section 28 (1) of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 (No. 6 of 1977), on and from the 31st day of March, 1980, the number of directors of Aerlinte shall be twelve.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order alters the number of directors and members in Aer Lingus/Aerlinte and Coras Iompair Éireann to twelve, of whom four shall be directors and members appointed following election by the employees, in accordance with the provisions of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 .
