EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (MARKETING OF FERTILISERS) REGULATIONS, 1979.

I, RAY MAC SHARRY, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972 (No. 27 of 1972), for the purpose of giving effect to Council Directive No. 76/116/EEC ^(a) hereby make the following regulations:

(a) OJ. No. L24/21, 30.1.1976.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Marketing of Fertilisers) Regulations, 1979.

2. The Schedule to the European Communities (Marketing of Fertilisers) Regulations, 1978 ( S.I. No. 13 of 1978 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of the following Part for Part IV:

"Part IV

European Communities (Marketing of Fertilisers) Regulations, 1978

Certificate of Result of Analysis of a Fertiliser

Sample of ...................................................... marked ..................................................

received by the Analyst on ................. from ............................................................ ......

which was taken at the premises of ............................................................ ...................

This is to certify that the above-mentioned sample which was duly fastened and sealed has been analysed by............................................................ ........................................ under the direction of the State Chemist, and that the result of the analysis is as follows:

On comparison of the results of the analysis with the particulars accompanying the sample it appears that the particulars furnished—

3. References in the European Communities (Sampling and Analysis of Fertilisers) Regulations, 1978 ( S.I. No. 12 of 1978 ), to the European Communities (Marketing of Fertilisers) Regulations, 1978, shall be construed as references to those Regulations as amended by these Regulations.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The Regulations amend the Certificate of Result of Analysis of a Fertiliser specified in the European Communities (Marketing of Fertilisers) Regulations, 1978.
