CORAS BEOSTOIC AGUS FEOLA (LEVY ON EXPORTED LIVESTOCK) REGULATIONS, 1979.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 29 (6) of the Coras Beostoic agus Feola Act, 1979 (No. 25 of 1979), hereby make the following Regulations:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Coras Beostoic agus Feola (Levy on Exported Livestock) Regulations, 1979.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1979.

3. In these Regulations "the Act" means the Coras Beostoic agus Feola Act, 1979 (No. 25 of 1979).

4. The adhesive stamps by means of which levy is required to be paid under section 29(6) of the Act shall—

( a ) be the type set out in Part 1 of the Schedule to these Regulations with the centrepiece and surround in green and the lettering and numbers in black,

( b ) be of the denominations specified in the Table to this Regulation, and a stamp of any particular denomination shall have a background in the colour specified opposite that denomination in the said Table, and

( c ) be affixed to a document in respect of the livestock in relation to which the levy is payable in the form set out in Part II of the said Schedule completed by the person by whom or on whose behalf the livestock are being exported.

50p — Orange

£1 — Blue

£5 — Yellow

£10 — Mauve

£20 — Cream

SCHEDULE.

PART I.

The adhesive stamp of any particular denomination specified in Regulation 4 of these Regulations shall be of the type set out below and shall also bear an indication of that particular denomination.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations prescribe the type and denominations of the adhesive stamps by means of which levy is required to be paid in respect of livestock exported live from the State and they also specify the documentation to which the levy stamps must be affixed.
