I, GENE FITZGERALD, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 (1) of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 (No. 6 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 (Appointed Day) (Cómhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teoranta) Order, 1979.

2. The 2nd day of January, 1979, is hereby appointed to be the appointed day for the purposes of section 6 of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 (No. 6 of 1977), in relation to Cómhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teoranta.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This order prescribes the appointed day for determining election years for the purposes of Section 6 of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 , in relation to Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teoranta.
