EXCHANGE CONTROL (SCHEDULED TERRITORIES) REGULATIONS, 1978.

I, SEOIRSE Ó COLLA, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 (1) of the Exchange Control (Continuance and Amendment) Act, 1978 (No. 24 of 1978), hereby make the following regulations:

1. (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Exchange Control (Scheduled Territories) Regulations, 1978.

(2) These Regulations shall come into operation on the 18th day of December, 1978.

2. The definition of "the scheduled territories" in section 3 of the Exchange Control Act, 1954 (No. 30 of 1954), is hereby amended by the deletion of paragraph (b).

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend the definition of the "scheduled territories" in section 3 of the Exchange Control Act, 1954 by the deletion of paragraph (b) from the definition. This has the effect of excluding Northern Ireland, Great Britain, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man from the "scheduled territories".
