LOCAL GOVERNMENT (SANITARY SERVICES) ACT, 1948 (SECTION 34) (PART OF COUNTY OF DONEGAL) ORDER, 1978.

The Minister for the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sub-section (2) of section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 (No. 3 of 1948) hereby orders as follows :—

1. This Order may be cited as the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 (Section 34) (Part of County of Donegal) Order, 1978.

2. On the seventh day after the date of this Order section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 , shall come into operation in that part of the Sanitary District of the County Health District of Donegal consisting of those parts of the townlands of Drumaweir in the District Electoral Division of Moville, Eleven Ballyboes, Balleeghan, Carrowhugh, Carrowtransa and Stroove in the District Electoral Division of Greencastle as are bounded

— on the north by County Road map number 315 from the road junction opposite St. Peter's Park Housing Scheme in the townland of Drumaweir to the Crossroads at Pound Town in the townland of Eleven Ballyboes and from thence by County Road map number 256 to the Crossroads north-east of Stroove village in the townland of Stroove and from thence by the old right of way to the sea at Portnocker in that townland.

— on the south and south-east by the sea and

— on the west by County Road map number 315 from the road junction opposite St. Peter's Park housing scheme in the townland of Drumaweir to the sea at the Coast Guard Station in that townland.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Order is to bring section 34 of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act, 1948 into operation in the parts of the County Health District of Donegal set out in Article 2 of the Order. Section 34 authorises a sanitary authority to grant to the occupier of land or with the consent of the occupier to a camping organisation, a license authorising the use during a specified period of twelve consecutive months of land for camping.
