WORKER PARTICIPATION (STATE ENTERPRISES) ORDER, 1978.

I, GENE FITZGERALD, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 23 of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 (No. 6 of 1977), and after consultation with the Minister for Finance and the other Ministers of the Government who are appropriate, hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Order, 1978.

2. The number of members of Bord na Móna shall be twelve, and the appropriate number of those members shall be four.

3. The number of directors of Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teoranta shall be twelve, and the appropriate number of those directors shall be four.

4. The number of directors of Nitrigin Éireann Teoranta shall be twelve, and the appropriate number of those directors shall be four.

5. The number of directors of the British and Irish Steam Packet Company Limited shall be twelve, and the appropriate number of those directors shall be four.

6. The number of members of the Electricity Supply Board shall be twelve, and the appropriate number of those members shall be four.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order alters the number of members or directors, as the case may be, of each of the Boards of the following State bodies: Bord na Móna; British and Irish Steam Packet Company Limited; Comhlucht Siúicre Éireann Teoranta; Electricity Supply Board and Nitrigin Éireann Teoranta so that, the number of such members or directors shall be twelve, of whom four shall be members or directors appointed following election by the employees, in accordance with the provisions of the Worker Participation (State Enterprises) Act, 1977 .
