GIVEN under my Official Seal this 26th day of October, 1977.

JAMES GIBBONS,

Minister for Agriculture.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The regulations revoke Regulation 10 of the European Communities (Marketing Standards for Eggs) Regulations, 1973 ( S.I. No. 128 of 1973 ) which allowed, on a temporary basis, the weight grading of eggs in four Imperial weight categories. The effect of this revocation is to apply fully the seven metric weight grade system as provided for in Article 10 of Regulation (EEC) No. 2772/75 of the Council of 29 October, 1975 on marketing standards for eggs.
