ROAD TRANSPORT (INTERNATIONAL CARRIAGE OF GOODS BY ROAD) (No. 2) ORDER, 1977.

I, PÁDRAIG FAULKNER, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 8 (2) of the Road Transport Act, 1971 (No. 8 of 1971), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Transport (International Carriage of Goods by Road) (No. 2) Order, 1977.

2. A permit granted by the Minister for Transport and Power and issued by the Federal Minister of Transport of the Federal Republic of Germany (or any authority appointed by him) under Article 3 (as supplemented by the rules contained in paragraph 2 (b) of the Protocol) of the agreement made on the 26th day of May, 1977, between the Government and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and relating to the international carriage of goods by road, shall be deemed to be a restricted road freight licence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this Instrument is to declare that permits granted to German carriers by the Minister for Transport and Power and issued by the competent authority of the Federal Republic of Germany under the Road Transport Agreement of 26th May, 1977 between Ireland and the Federal Republic of Germany shall be deemed to be restricted road freight licences.
