PROTECTION OF YOUNG PERSONS (EMPLOYMENT) ACT, 1977 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1977.

I, MICHAEL O'LEARY, Minister for Labour, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 31 (2) of the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 (No. 9 of 1977), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 (Commencement) Order, 1977.

2. The 5th day of July, 1977, is hereby appointed to be the day on which the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 (No. 9 of 1977), other than the repeal of Section 47 of the Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 (No. 2 of 1936), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints the day on which the Protection of Young Persons (Employment) Act, 1977 , other than the repeal of Section 47, Conditions of Employment Act, 1936 , shall come into operation.
