ROAD TRANSPORT (INTERNATIONAL CARRIAGE OF GOODS BY ROAD) ORDER, 1977.

I, TOM FITZPATRICK, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 8 (2) of the Road Transport Act, 1971 (No. 8 of 1971), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Transport (International Carriage of Goods by Road) Order, 1977.

2. A permit granted by the Minister for Transport and Power and issued by the Ministry of Communications of the Kingdom of Belgium under Article 3.4 (b) of the agreement made on the 28th day of February, 1977, between the Government and the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium and relating to the international carriage of goods by road, shall be deemed to be a restricted road freight licence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

The effect of this instrument is to declare that permits granted to Belgian carriers by the Minister for Transport and Power and issued by the competent authority in Belgium under the Ireland/Belgium Road Transport Agreement dated 28th February, 1977 shall be deemed to be restricted road freight licences.
