MONEY ORDER AMENDMENT (No. 22) REGULATIONS, 1977.

I, CONOR CRUISE O'BRIEN, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 23 of the Post Office Act, 1908, and section 3 of the Post Office (Amendment) Act, 1969 (No. 18 of 1969), and with the consent of the Minister for Finance, hereby make the following regulations :

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Money Order Amendment (NO. 22) Regulations, 1977.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of April, 1977.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. Regulations 18 (1) of the Money Order Regulations, 1903, is hereby amended by the substitution of the following table for Table A (inserted by Regulation 4 of the Money Order Amendment (No. 21) Regulations, 1975 ( S.I. No. 317 of 1975 )) which set out the poundage payable in respect of money orders :

In respect of inland money orders:

for an amount not exceeding £50.00

for an amount exceeding £50 but not exceeding £100.00

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Warrant applies to the Money Order service and comes into operation on the 1st April, 1977. It authorises increases in charges on inland money orders.
