HARBOUR RATES (LIMERICK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1977.

I, TOM FITZPATRICK, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows:

1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1977.

(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 22nd day of February, 1977.

2. The Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1942 (S.R. & O., No. 469 of 1942) shall have effect as if—

( a ) the rates specified in the First Schedule (inserted by the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 13 of 1976 )) thereto were increased by twenty per cent; and

( b ) for the rates specified in the third column of Part I of the Second Schedule (inserted by the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1976) thereto at reference numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4, there were substituted "24p", "33p", "24p" and "24p", respectively.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order authorises the Limerick Harbour Commissioners to increase goods and tonnage rates.
