HARBOUR RATES (LIMERICK HARBOUR) ORDER, 1977. | ||
I, TOM FITZPATRICK, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows: 1. (1) This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1977. | ||
(2) This Order shall come into operation on the 22nd day of February, 1977. 2. The Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1942 (S.R. & O., No. 469 of 1942) shall have effect as if— | ||
( a ) the rates specified in the First Schedule (inserted by the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1976 ( S.I. No. 13 of 1976 )) thereto were increased by twenty per cent; and | ||
( b ) for the rates specified in the third column of Part I of the Second Schedule (inserted by the Harbour Rates (Limerick Harbour) Order, 1976) thereto at reference numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4, there were substituted "24p", "33p", "24p" and "24p", respectively. | ||

EXPLANATORY NOTE. | ||
This Order authorises the Limerick Harbour Commissioners to increase goods and tonnage rates. |
