AGRICULTURAL PRODUCE (FRESH MEAT) ACT, 1930 (EXPORTER'S LICENCES) (FEES) REGULATIONS, 1976.

I, MARK CLINTON, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 51 and Rule 2 (as amended by section 4 (1) of the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 (No. 33 of 1954)), of the Schedule to the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930), and the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby make the following regulations, with respect to which pursuant to section 4 (2) of the said Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 , a draft has been laid before each House of the Oireachtas and a resolution approving of the draft has been passed by each such House:

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Exporter's Licences) (Fees) Regulations, 1976.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 17th day of May, 1976.

3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to these Regulations.

4. For the purposes of the Schedule to the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (No. 10 of 1930) (as amended by section 4 (1) of the Agricultural Produce (Meat) (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1954 (No. 33 of 1954)) the appropriate sum for—

( a ) a beef exporter's licence shall be 45 new pence;

( b ) a pork exporter's licence shall be 12 new pence; and

( c ) a mutton exporter's licence shall be 8 new pence.

5. The Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 (Exporter's Licences) (Fees) Regulations, 1973 ( S.I. No. 216 of 1973 ), are hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations increase as from 17th May, 1976 the fees payable by fresh meat exporters for veterinary examination of animals in accordance with the Agricultural Produce (Fresh Meat) Act, 1930 .
