HEALTH SERVICES REGULATIONS, 1976.

The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) and sections 59 and 72 of the Health Act, 1970 (No. 1 of 1970) hereby makes the following Regulations:—

1 Citations.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Health Services Regulations, 1976.

2 Commencement.

2. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1st day of May, 1976.

3 Amendment of article 6 of Health Services Regulations, 1972.

3. Article 6 of the Health Services Regulations, 1972 ( S.I. No. 88 of 1972 ) is hereby amended—

( a ) by the substitution of "£5" for "£3" in sub-article (2),

( b ) by the substitution of "£3" for "£2" in sub-article (3) and

( c ) by the substitution of "£3" for "£2" in each place where it occurs in sub-article (4) and by the substitution of "£1.50" for "£1" where it occurs in that sub-article.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

These Regulations amend article 6 of the Health Services Regulations, 1972 by revising the base figures for determining the extent of a health board's subvention towards expenditure on drugs, medicines and medical and surgical appliances incurred by a person with eligibility for health services.
