STANDARD MARK (GALVANISED CISTERNS AND CYLINDERS FOR DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLY) (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1976.

I, JUSTIN KEATING, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 24 (4) of the Industrial Research and Standards Act, 1961 (No. 20 of 1961), hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as the Standard Mark (Galvanised Cisterns and Cylinders for Domestic Water Supply) (Revocation) Order, 1976.

2. The Standard Mark (Galvanised Cisterns and Cylinders for Domestic Water Supply) Order, 1951 ( S.I. No. 393 of 1951 ), is hereby revoked.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

Irish Standard Specification No. 9: 1949 on Galvanised Cisterns and Cylinders for Domestic Water Supply is being revoked and replaced by a new standard which will take account of technical developments and of the changeover to the metric system. The purpose of this Order is to revoke the Standard Mark (Galvanised Cisterns and Cylinders for Domestic Water Supply) Order, 1951, which prescribed a Standard Mark for use in connection with I.S. 9: 1949.
