RACING BOARD AND RACECOURSES (AMENDMENT) ACT (COMMENCEMENT OF SECTIONS 4 AND 5) ORDER, 1975.

I, RICHIE RYAN, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 4 (10) of the Racing Board and Racecourses (Amendment) Act, 1975 (No. 11 of 1975), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Racing Board and Racecourses (Amendment) Act (Commencement of Sections 4 and 5) Order, 1975.

2. The 1st day of July, 1975, is hereby appointed as the day on which sections 4 and 5 of the Racing Board and Racecourses (Amendment) Act, 1975 (No. 11 of 1975), shall come into operation.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order appoints 1 July, 1975, as the date for the coming into operation of sections 4 and 5 of the Racing Board and Racecourses (Amendment) Act, 1975 . These sections provide for the establishment of an Appeal Committee to which bookmakers may appeal against decisions of the Racing Board to refuse, suspend or revoke course betting permits.
